About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a SEN-school in Tiverton. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting and educating students with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN
* Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support
* Collaborate with other teachers and professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings and parent conferences
**Requirements:**
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in SEN settings
* Strong understanding of different types of special educational needs and strategies to support them
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEN
* Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
