Key Responsibilities:
•Teach classes in Spanish as a Foreign Language in senior primary, middle years, and up to IGCSE level using your own dynamic approach to teaching and learning in your classroom.
•Foster a passion for learning and expand knowledge and understanding in Spanish language and culture.
•Shape and implement a pioneering approach to education in these fields.
•Create an environment that nurtures a spirit of inquiry and creativity.
•Inspire students to excel in IGCSE examinations, international competitions, and cultural exchanges.
•Ensure true subject mastery and excellence in curriculum design.
•Develop strategies to help talented students perform at an outstanding level in all academic and extracurricular endeavors.
Qualifications and Experience:
•Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is essential.
•Preferably have an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature or a related field.
•Valid Teaching Qualification - PGCE/BEd or equivalent, EU recognised.
•Strong experience in international schools, with experience of teaching British Curriculum Spanish as a Foreign Language, including a track record of success in competitive international examinations.
•Strong knowledge of, and experience in nurturing inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based, and research skills, and their application in real-world contexts.
•Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
•Accomplished in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.
•Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in Spanish language pedagogy.
