You'll report to the Head of Department for the Arts.
The Role:
* Collaborate with the Head of Department for the Arts to plan and prepare effective lessons within the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire, and enhance student attainment.
* Ensure students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills, and understanding relevant to the subject.
* Guarantee that all students either achieve at or make significant progress toward chronological age level.
* Direct and supervise support staff, participating in recruitment and selection activities when needed.
* Organize trips and visits to enrich students' learning experiences.
* Monitor and evaluate assessment and feedback to students in line with school and department
* Follow department monitoring and tracking systems related to student attainment, progress, and achievement.
* Mark, grade, and provide written/verbal and diagnostic feedback as required.
* Undertake assessments as requested by external examination bodies and school procedures.
* Assess, record, and report on student attendance, progress, development, and attainment, maintaining necessary records.
* Knowledge Keeper: Stay updated on teachers' professional duties and legal responsibilities.
* Policy Adherence: Operate within the school's policies, including Health and Safety, Child Protection, Assessment, and Behavior.
* Role Model: Maintain high expectations for every student and be a positive role model through personal presentation and conduct.
* Resource Sharer: Collaborate with colleagues to optimize resource usage.
* Contribute to school life through effective participation in meetings and management systems.
* Undertake various responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department for the Arts or the Principal
