2D/3D Animator Location: MailOnline Head Office – London Position: Initial 3 month FTC, with a view to being extended The Daily Mail’s Shows Team is seeking a highly skilled Animator with experience in both 2D and 3D animation to create striking visuals for shows like Battle Board and Geopolitics on Tape. These programmes demand a cinematic approach to illustrating modern warfare, tactics, and global affairs — often blending maps, motion graphics, and stylised recreations. Key Responsibilities: Create high-quality 2D and 3D animations for YouTube documentaries and explainers. Design animated maps, tactical visuals, and cinematic recreations of real-world events. Collaborate closely with writers, producers, and editors to ensure visual storytelling aligns with editorial tone and direction. Essential Skills and Experience: Expert proficiency in After Effects and Blender. Familiarity with Cinema 4D, and Mocha AE. Strong understanding of design, motion graphics, and compositing workflows. Ability to manage multiple animation tasks under tight deadlines. Desirable: Interest in geopolitics, history, or international conflict storytelling.
