Facilitate high-quality practice learning in accordance with Quality Frameworks and standards, developing solutions to improve quality of placements
Support diverse practice placements as part of the placement expansion
Support managers and assessors/supervisors for learners on undergraduate and other training programmes
To support Healthcare Support Worker development and career conversations
Support for those supervising and assessing learners
Develop and deliver clinical teaching where appropriate, including, Corporate/Clinical Induction, development programmes, care certificate
Provide advice and guidance with performance issues with learners with the support of the Undergraduate Educational Development Manager and Higher Education Institutes and Colleges
Work with colleagues to provide pastoral care of students and learners
Work with assessors/supervisors to support practice outcomes and relevant development
Partnership working between the Integrated Education Service, clinical areas and education providers
Enhance the clinical learning environment in accordance with HEE Quality Standards
Enhance inter-professional working and learning to promote education across the organisation
Development of policies and strategies to support development
Support recruitment and retention initiatives
1. Work with the Undergraduate Educational Development Manager and team in supporting learners and support workers in the workplace, this will primarily be supporting BSc Nursing, Nursing Associate, Associate Practitioner and T Level students, and also helping to support Health Care Support Workers, Care Certificate and other learners Bands 2-4
2. Work within the divisions to support managers to enhance the quality of the practice learning environment, providing support, educational input and development for undergraduate learners and through acting as a role model in clinical practice
3. Be expected to use their initiative, analytical skills and judgement, and will be able to work autonomously and with all Integrated Education team members
4. Be a committed member of the Undergraduate Clinical Education team and contribute as a pro-active team member in the wider Integrated Education team, to promote inter-educational learning. The postholder will be expected to collaborate with all Integrated Education Clinical Educators to facilitate seamless communication and unified learning approach to education
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues, practice placements, clinical staff and education providers to promote high-quality clinical practice through continuous professional development, clinical teaching, supervision and assessment; and the implementation and evaluation of robust educational governance processes in accordance with national standards
