Job Title: Part-Time Teaching Assistant Level 2 Employment Status: Permanent Working Hours: 18.75 hours per week, term time only 8.45am – 12.30pm Monday to Friday Actual Salary: £9706 per annum Full-time equivalent salary: Band F SCP 7 FTE £22 369 Required: ASAP Location: Priors Field Primary School About the role We are keen to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for inclusive learning to support a class teacher, work with small groups and on occasion 1:1. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process by providing care and supervision across the class alongside teaching and learning. This role will be based initially in Year 3. We are looking for someone who: • Has a relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification or experience • Has a good standard of education including English & Maths (GCSE/Level 2) • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Has experience working within a classroom setting and with Primary aged pupils • Has experience working with SEN children • Has excellent behaviour management skills • Can work on their own initiative and also work well as part of a team • Is an excellent role model All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the school.
