The University of St Andrews is seeking to appoint a Senior Development Database Assistant to provide comprehensive and specialist database support and assistance for the University’s fundraising, alumni, and supporter engagement activities. This is an exciting time to join the Development team with the launch of the ambitious £300M fundraising campaign - Making Waves: The Campaign for St Andrews.
The role holder will be responsible for certain clearly defined and self-contained data entry and record management duties. The role holder will also assist the Development Database & Analytics Officer with several key tasks including the management of the Unit’s mass email system, updating the Development website, and creating online giving and event registration forms. The role will also involve the preparation and running of data queries and imports/exports to/from the Development database to support fundraising appeals, alumni and supporter mailings, event invitations, and other activities.
As a member of the Development Services team the role holder will collaborate closely with team members across the Development Unit, along with other members of university staff, donors, and volunteers. This role will involve the delivery of data projects for the Director of Development and members of the Unit’s senior management team on a regular basis.
This role would be of interest to an individual who is seeking to develop a career in relational databases, particularly within the charitable or membership organisation sectors. The role holder should possess broad IT knowledge. Familiarity with social media and web content management systems would also be desirable, as would experience in handling large data sets.
