Safety Engineer - Aerospace
Location: Bristol, Hybrid offering, open to discussion based on logistics.
Contract: Inside or Outside IR35
Yolk Engineering are currently partnered with an award-winning engineering consultancy, supplying to both marine and aircraft platforms.
The reason for the hire is due to a demand in growth and upcoming projects.
You will be joining the Systems & Safety team, supporting key defence/military projects in the Aerospace engineering domain.
Responsibilities:
1. System level analyses, integrating multiple sub-system inputs
2. Platform loss modelling, integrating multiple system level analyses
3. Zonal safety assessments (ZSA)
4. Common mode / cause analyses (CMA/CCA)
5. Detailed analyses of complex systems using fault tree methodology
Skills:
1. Aircraft certification (CS-23, -25)
2. Landing gear (ATA-32), flight controls (ATA-27), fuel (ATA-28), power (ATA-24)
3. Hazard Logs & analysis including: HAZID, HAZOP, FHA
4. Analysis techniques such as: FTA, ETA, FMEA, FMES
5. Production of safety documentation such as PSSA, SSA, PRA etc.
6. ARP4754
7. ARP4761
8. DO178B/DO254
9. International standards e.g. IEC 61508, IEC 62368
10. Working within a quality system environment, such as AS9100, ISO9001
