PROCESS ENGINEER
Our client, an Aberdeen-based operator, is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Scott Asset. This is a 12-month PAYE maternity cover position based full-time in Aberdeen with a one-day hybrid working.
The Role:
The primary function of this position is the provision of Process Engineering technical operations support and expertise for the client. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support across a wide range of Process Engineering issues and representing the client for all Process-related issues across the business as directed by asset management.
Responsibilities include managing multiple operational challenges through effective prioritisation and delegation of tasks to Production Support/Facilities Engineering as required. The ability to communicate key operational issues to asset management in a succinct manner is essential.
You Will:
1. Provide process support to operations daily to maintain high production and water injection efficiency. Engage with the offshore team via morning calls and regular contact via the collaboration room.
2. Coordinate with Production Engineering to ensure optimal conditions for production are fully understood.
3. Identify areas for process optimisation and liaise with production operations to optimise production.
4. Understand plant operating/design envelope to ensure safe operation.
5. Provide support to other areas of the business (HSE&A Group, Facilities Engineering) in support of Engineering Changes and Operational Risk Assessments.
6. Conduct investigations into process-related plant upsets and implement controls to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure actions are promptly closed out.
7. Raise Engineering changes and liaise as required with the Facilities Engineering function.
8. Provide process engineering support as required to any major Capex projects.
9. Raise NOPRAS for non-standard operations and track and engage with Engineering/Operations to expedite close out.
10. Support drive to minimise Process Safety Events through providing support to close out Enablon/LEHS actions.
11. Provide support as required to the offshore team/TAR team as part of onshore readiness reviews and input to the ORR process.
12. Provide Operations support as part of process plant trials to optimise production.
Qualifications and Experience
Work Experience:
Broad engineering experience, including hands-on operations field environment and interaction with engineering disciplines for project development. Able to balance innovation and risk in addressing operational challenges. Knowledgeable on performance standards and ensuring the asset is compliant with requirements of the verification scheme. Strong initiative and orientation towards continuous improvement. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a flexible team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline.
