Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Information Technology, located in Harrow. The Head of IT will oversee the company's IT operations, develop and implement IT strategy, manage the IT department, and ensure the reliability and security of the IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include coordinating with other departments, managing IT projects, troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT compliance with industry standards, and optimizing technology resources to meet business objectives.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement the IT strategy in line with business goals, including digital transformation initiatives. Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a high-performance culture. Provide strategic advice to senior management on technology trends and opportunities.
2. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and end-user devices. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.
3. Applications Management: Manage the selection, implementation, and support of business applications, including ERP winman, CRM, and other critical systems. Optimize application performance and integration.
4. Cybersecurity: Develop and implement a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect company data and systems from threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).
5. Budget Management: Manage the IT budget effectively, optimizing spending and demonstrating ROI. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT performance.
6. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
7. Project Management: Oversee IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2).
8. Compliance: Ensure IT systems and processes comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
