Your responsibilities as a SEN teacher may include:
Working with and supporting students with ASD, which may include students who are non-verbal.
Lesson planning and delivery for students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs. This may include alternative teaching methods, such as Lego therapy and intensive interaction sessions.
Ability to use communication devices to successfully communicate with students who are non-verbal or have visual or hearing impairments.
Helping students to develop confidence and independence.
Implementing behaviour management techniques, which may include physical restraints, to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
