We are looking to recruit a new post for a Health and Safety Assistant to support the health and safety function within the property department. This is a role with potential for personal growth and development within the organisation, with close interaction with the Property Team, Health and Safety Officer and the Service teams managing the properties.
This new post within HARP’s Property Team, with a focus on supporting the Health & Safety Officer in ensuring that HARP’s properties are compliant. Working under the direction of the Property Team Manager, this new and vital role provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is well versed in property maintenance, has an eye for detail and is confident in providing robust reports. The role requires self-management to deliver their objectives within the Team.
The main duties will involve carrying out scheduled property inspections to HARPs portfolio including various testing and reporting. Keeping accurate records and assisting the organisation in its responsibility to keep its buildings, equipment and facilities in good order and compliant with the latest regulations.
· Ideally suited to a methodical person with an eye for detail, and the ability to record and report findings
· A background in general building maintenance
· An awareness of Health and Safety requirements
· An ability to work independently and as part of a team
· As most of the work will carried out on-site at HARP properties, a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for transport, will be essential, with all business mileage and other associated costs recoverable.
