Additional Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Salary: £83 - £100 per day

Additional Needs Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with mental, emotional, and social health concerns.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with diverse Special Educational Needs.
* Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
* Deliver intervention programmes to individuals and small groups.
* Assessing student progress and providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
* Supervising students during activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* Support communication through verbal and non-verbal techniques.
Additional Needs Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Understanding and knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health needs..
* Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) or have transferable skills.
* Have an understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to the welfare of children.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
