Job summary Are you an experienced and passionate HIV specialist nurse looking for your next leadership role? Coventry and Warwickshire Sexual Health is seeking a highly motivated Lead HIV Clinical Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated team of Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Advisors, and administrative colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for anexperienced Band 7 nursewith at leastthree years experience in HIV careand a qualification inadvanced clinical practice. The successful candidate will work autonomously within the service, delivering safe, current, and effective care to a caseload of patients, including prescribing and switching HIV regimens. You will have the expertise to perform advanced assessments and clinical reviews, making key decisions regarding patient care alongside HIV Consultants and the wider MDT. In this leadership role, you will drive service development at both a local and strategic level, playing a pivotal role in the redesign and modernisation of HIV provision across Coventry and Warwickshire. Working closely with the Clinical Lead for HIV and the Service Manager, you will ensure the service remains safe, effective, and forward-thinking. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. Main duties of the job Lead and coordinate theHIV Clinical Specialist Nurse-led clinicacross Coventry and Warwickshire. Provideexpert clinical care, including sexual health, immunisations, cervical cytology, and contraception. Performadvanced assessments, prescribing, and switching HIV regimensas part of patient care. Ensure a seamlesstransition into carefor newly diagnosed HIV clients, completing baseline assessments and escalation as needed. Collaborate withMDT, BHA for Equality, and strategic leadsto develop and modernise HIV services. Driveservice development and redesign, ensuring high-quality patient care and collaborative working. Maintain open communication withpatients, carers, and partner organisationsto improve service delivery.
