At NPP we are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering solutions provider known for delivering innovative automation and control systems to a range of industries.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team where your skills will contribute to developing bespoke automation software, testing and commissioning systems, and ensuring seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the full lifecycle of automation projects, from concept to completion.
2. Design and test control software applications for PLCs and HMIs to meet various client requirements.
3. Conduct functional testing and ensure safe on-site installation and commissioning.
4. Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Software Design Specifications (SDS).
5. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
6. Ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
7. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience designing and interpreting Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
2. Proficiency in programming Rockwell Control-Logix PLCs is essential. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Mitsubishi hardware is beneficial.
3. HMI programming experience, particularly with Rockwell HMI systems.
4. Knowledge of setting up automation TCP/IP networks.
5. Understanding of SCADA applications is an advantage.
6. Hands-on experience with real-time electrical and control system commissioning.
7. Familiarity with industrial sectors such as water processing, food and beverage manufacturing, or similar industries.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design challenges.
9. Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
2. Full UK driving licence is required for site visits.
