We are looking to recruit a Catering Manager to lead and have overall operational responsibility for the timely delivery of a high quality, affordable &professional Catering service within the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT). You will participate in national networks, supporting, developing and leading implementation of new initiatives. Continuously looking for opportunities to develop services, introducing new technology and ensuring MPFT has modern fit for purpose services, developing plans for continuous service improvement in line with the visions and values of the Trust. You will operationally manage the Catering service and provide vital contribution in supporting theoverarching departmental objectives, including sustaining an effective financial performance.They will ensure that all operational performance targets are met and that they are appropriatelydemonstrated within performance management meetings.To develop close working relationships with Senior Management Team, Heads of Services, Infection Prevention and Control and other service leads across the Trust.Main duties of the job Lead by example and display a leadership style that encourages and motivates staff to provide an excellent catering service Trust wide. The effective planning of food and hydration services operational systems to ensure the workforce is flexible and efficient to meet the Trusts requirements e.g. staff rosters, work schedules, work instructions and procedure Responsible for all Allergen Food labelling relevant to patient meals and retail products Chair the Trust wide Catering Quality Steering Group and follow up on relevant actions Responsible for ensuring food provided by the in-house catering team meets National FoodStandards regulations and principles. To manage HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) reporting system for wardkitchens regarding the promotion of safe and hygienic premises and practices for thedelivery of food to patients.
