As our Open Spaces Team continues to expand, we seek an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations with specific responsibility for the grounds maintenance teams, working from the Open Spaces Depot in Margate. Your horticultural knowledge, along with the experience of grounds maintenance, tree management and minor works operations will ensure Thanet’s Parks and Open Spaces are maintained to the required standards through an efficient and effective workforce. Experience in leading and motivating large teams, in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance, significant budget responsibility, project delivery and contract management are all important for this role. You will be able to lead the teams to provide the best possible outputs within the resources available and work with the Open Spaces Manager to improve Thanet’s parks and open spaces. You will have excellent written and verbal communication, be able to write reports, chair and present at meetings and be comfortable to deputise for the Open Spaces Manager as required.
