Regional Loss Prevention / Security Manager UK/Ireland
Job Purpose
Reporting into the Global Security Manager (Retail), the Regional Security Manager UK provides expert assistance to support the security needs of all business divisions within a very successful and expanding global retailer. With a strong focus on retail operations to protect people, assets, and corporate reputation, this role contributes to the effective implementation of security strategies, procedures, and operational plans across UK & Ireland, while collaborating across multiple business units and functions in Europe and the USA.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and nurture an extensive array of external professional networks and internal contacts.
* Research and monitor potential vulnerabilities, threats, and risks facing persons, assets, and reputation, with a strong focus on supporting retail operations.
* Serve as a security risk and loss prevention subject matter expert and trusted advisor to internal stakeholders to advocate for appropriate, balanced, and proportional risk mitigation.
* Manage retail crime prevention initiatives and minimize stock losses.
* Monitor and evaluate security guard effectiveness and performance.
* Support business events, new retail store planning, resourcing, and opening.
* Ensure all security incidents are reported and appropriately investigated with the provision of well-considered findings and relevant recommendations.
* Conduct risk assessments, site security audits, and retail store reviews.
* Actively contribute to travel management services to support the well-being of business travellers.
* Maintain and nurture effective working partnerships with functional specialists and with a focus on the division for effective communication and response to any incident.
* Participate in, support, or oversee crisis preparations, capabilities, and response.
* Champion innovation, operational efficiency, and effectiveness across areas of responsibility.

Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities
* Proficient in conducting security risk assessments and developing mitigation plans applicable to manufacturing, logistics, and retail environments.
* Extensive experience with stock loss prevention strategies, shrinkage control, and retail crime prevention methodologies.
* Practical experience in electronic security technologies including CCTV and access control.
* Ability to analyse security data, identify trends, and report key findings to senior management.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and law enforcement.
* An operational understanding of civil, criminal, and employment law in relevant jurisdictions.
* An understanding of how local customs, cultures, and practices impact security strategy and risk management initiatives.
* Experience in corporate investigations, event security, and close personal protection.
* Practical experience in dealing with major incidents or crisis situations.
A background in retail loss prevention and corporate security is essential, with a minimum of five years of corporate security or retail loss experience.
Extensive knowledge of security challenges in retail operations, crime prevention, and stock loss controls. Demonstrated experience in the protection of persons, assets, and corporate reputation.
Support the Head of Group Security and Global Operations Manager (Retail) in the efficient and effective use of financial and other resources.
