MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

SALARY: £40k
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their small but dynamic plating business. The successful maintenance engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of all plating equipment and associated machinery.
The successful maintenance engineer's role will consist of, but not limited to:
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including control panels, motors, and wiring.
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to minimize downtime.
* Ensure all electrical installations meet current safety and regulatory standards.
* Carry out routine maintenance on plating equipment (e.g., tanks, pumps, and filtration systems).
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure timely repairs.
* Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery and electrical systems.
* Work closely with production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
The successful maintenance engineer will possess:
* 18th edition Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a plating or chemical processing facility.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including fault finding and diagnostics.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.15pm
Friday 7am to 1pm
They are open to maintenance engineers who want to work a 4-day shift, Monday to Thursday. They are a very flexible company who value their employees and listen to them.
