We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join Chelmsford City Council’s Facilities Management Team, to assist with the management of the Civic Centre site and ensure that the venue hire facilities are managed effectively to provide an excellent level of service.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to become a vital team member, assisting the Venue & Facilities Team Leader and Facilities Manager in delivering the operational functions and associated facilities management activities at the Civic Centre site. A key part of the role will be liaising with individuals and external organisations that hire our venue, co-ordinating their requirements and giving excellent customer service.
The FM team makes sure that all statutory regulations and performance standards are met, service contracts are coordinated, and that all building users can effectively and safely deliver their services. You will need to be an excellent team player, with the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues, managers, Councillors and internal/external partners. The successful applicant will possess a forward focus, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
The role will require you to be flexible at all times, responding to issues as they arise, and with the need to work early mornings or evenings if a situation dictates. The successful applicant will be based primarily at the Civic Centre Offices in Chelmsford, but occasional travel to sites within the district may be required.
