Data Scientist - Gaming Industry (Remote, Contract, Outside IR35)
Location: Remote (Europe)
Duration: 3-month contract (potential for extension)
Rate:£400 per day (Outside IR35)
About the Role:
A leading gaming studio is seeking a Data Scientist to provide insights into player behaviour, marketing strategies, and ROI for key initiatives. You will work with SQL, Python, and predictive modelling to support data-driven decisions for a free-to-play game.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse SQL and Python-based datasets to generate insights.
* Assess the impact of seasonal events (e.g., Halloween) on revenue.
* Develop predictive models to forecast player engagement and monetisation trends.
* Measure ROI on board-driven initiatives and provide actionable insights.
* Collaborate with marketing and game development teams to optimise strategies.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong experience with SQL and Python for data analysis.
* Background in predictive modelling and marketing analytics.
* Understanding of gaming industry data and player behaviour.
* Ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
