As part of the Accounting Group, the Accounting Manager manages the daily operations of the accounting department; monitors and analyzes accounting data and produces financial reports; establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies, and principles; leads the team to achieve higher quality and efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities:
* Manage accounting functions including month-end and year-end process, reconciliations, cash receipts, accounts payable, journal entries review and posting, fixed assets, equity, and cash flow forecasting.
* Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on a consolidated basis and stand-alone basis.
* Assist in producing board report package and shareholder report package quarterly.
* Perform variance and trend analysis on financial data to identify issues and/or inefficiencies.
* Coordinate with external auditors to complete year-end financial audits and project audits.
* Design and improve accounting procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
* Lead financial review with operational managers and upper management.
* Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function, when applicable.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* 6+ years or more of related field experience and 1+ supervisory experience.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and good understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred education and experience:
* Chartered Accountant.
* Master's Degree highly preferred.
* Public accounting experience preferred but not required.
Supervisory responsibilities:
* This role will supervise accounting team members to perform accounting functions and ensure financial data accuracy and integrity, and in compliance with accounting principles, when applicable.
Physical requirements:
Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
