More information is available on our Career site at Job Details You will work as part of the Family Engagement Team, a centralised team of support workers, who receive referrals from various schools throughout Fife. You will support young people, parents and carers by: Acting as a supportive link between families and school Working intensively with families and children using solution focussed and task centred approach. Supporting to promote attendance/punctuality to raise attainment Supporting young people with routines and boundaries - practical support wherever necessary Direct work with children to seek their views, understand their barriers to learning and engage them in education Liaising and collaborating with other agencies, taking part in and providing reports for pupil reviews and meetings Monitor/closely measure impact of interventions Promoting positive mental health Promoting emotional regulation Enabling them to manage anxiety and stress which prove a barrier to engaging fully with educational opportunities Working to deliver the following anticipated outcomes for school aged young people: Improved attendance at school Increased engagement with learning Positive family engagement with school Improved wellbeing and resilience of targeted young people Your work pattern will be Monday-Friday, 09:00-16:00 with 30min lunch. Working in collaboration with school teams, you will work to develop partnership and engagement with families of school-aged young people who face a range of barriers to engagement in learning and who are displaying low levels of school attendance You will work directly with young people, their parents/carers, partner organisations and school staff teams to support young people and build their engagement in learning, involvement in school life and attendance in school. The Person The individual should have experience of working with young people and experience of working as part of a service-focused team.
