First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Field Operations Manager on a permanent basis due to growth to be based in the Midlands area but with frequent UK wide travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analysing operations and staff performance – nationwide.
2. Ensure full utilization of field staff minimizing unproductive pay
3. Oversee warehouse and fleet management (North and South)
4. Liaising with different departments to develop improvement strategies and constantly strive for Operational Excellence.
5. Develop a close relationship with the planning team to maximise operational effectiveness in the deployment of site staff.
6. Developing and implementing various quality control methods.
7. Scheduling training sessions and workshops for new and existing staff members.
8. Setting targets and business goals and working alongside the team to achieve these
9. Providing guidance and mentoring to field staff.
10. Ensuring all processes are compliant with the relevant company employment rules, procedures, and regulations.
11. Observing existing staff and operations, and developing strategies for improved efficiency and profit, as well as cost reduction.
12. Dealing with customer complaints in association with field staff or delivery
13. Customer relations and problem solving
14. Attend pre-start site meetings and client review meetings as required
15. Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way, within budget
16. Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
17. Help the organisation’s processes remain legally compliant
18. Formulate strategic and operational objectives
19. Manage budgets and forecasts
20. Perform quality controls and monitor field production KPIs
21. Recruitment of field staff ,on boarding and day to day management
22. Staff performance management, including disciplinary procedures
23. Proactively develop ways to increase quality of customer service
24. Supporting development and introduction of new field services and products
Skills and Qualifications:
25. Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
26. Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
27. Experience budgeting and forecasting of people resources
28. Familiarity with business and financial principles
29. Excellent communication skills
30. Leadership ability
31. Outstanding organisational skills
32. NEBOSH or equivalent
33. Strong understanding of industry guidelines and regulations – i.e., TR19 Grease/Air & HSG274
MB444: Field Operations Manager
Location: Midlands based with UK wide travel
Salary: £50,000pa
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – (Flexi hours available) but will require working both day and night shifts
