Our time is NOW. ERM are seeking a talented professional for our growing Acoustics team in Onshore Renewables & Infrastructure, Capital Project Delivery. Offer can be made at either Senior or Managing Technical Consultant level (one grade below Principal), depending on experience. Hybrid working available from any of our 16 UK offices. The current strategy is heavily focused on renewables (wind, solar, battery storage, grid connection, hydrogen, carbon capture), however the team work in multiple sectors including industrial development, construction, transport, road and rail – both in the UK and internationally. You will support the delivery of the high-quality noise and vibration assessments and services we provide. You’ll work alongside our experienced team to undertake noise surveys, analyse data, carry out noise modelling and assessments, write reports and assist with bid work. You will use your skills to provide technical support and advice to our clients, helping them to deliver the Low Carbon Economy Transition. You’ll collaborate with technical teams and project managers around the business, in order to identify any potential noise issues and if these may impact on design and other parts of the EIA. About You You’ll have solid consultancy experience under your belt for this role, delivering environmental acoustics assessments for EIA’s. You’ll be Degree qualified in Acoustics or similar and have a strong understanding of acoustic principles. You’ll be a member of the Institute of Acoustics, and be willing to do some travel for project site visits, client offices and other ERM offices. Your report writing skills will be on point, you’ll be familiar with noise software such as SoundPlan or Cadna, you’ll have the ability to prioritise work streams and possess strong communication skills.
