Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to work for a leading manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Leader you will be a key member of the management team ensuring the production facility is kept running to maximum efficiency and output. You will be tasked with planning, scheduling, managing breakdowns and delegating tasks.
Responsible for the planned site manufacturing maintenance including HV test maintenance and the management of the maintenance team, key responsibilities will include:
1. Identify areas for improvement and assign to team for completion.
2. Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff.
3. Develop and maintain a fully functional Planned Maintenance system.
4. Respond to emergency calls for maintenance including out of hours.
5. Manage the set up and take down of different events.
6. Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
7. Communicate plans for upper level improvements to maintenance worker staff.
8. Work with external suppliers and contractors where necessary.
9. Management of maintenance budget and administrative tasks.
10. Delegate tasks to meet maintenance schedule and satisfy employer needs.
11. Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all plant functions, working particularly closely with the Manufacturing Leader, Team Leaders, Advance Manufacturing engineers and their teams.
12. Preventative maintenance schedules.
13. Carry out the duties of Senior Appointed Person (SAP).
14. Monitor costs per machines and justifications for replacement equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Degree or an HNC/HND level qualification in engineering/manufacturing.
2. Qualified Senior appointed person (SAP).
3. Maintenance management/supervisory experience.
4. Experience in planning maintenance operations.
5. Knowledge and application of UK regulatory standards.
6. Management experience in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent communicator with proven leadership skills.
8. Current health and safety awareness qualification.
9. Proven ability to coach and develop individuals and teams.
10. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
