An opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapy Team Adult Community Lead based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
The Adult SLT Team provides clinical care to adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders across North Ayrshire – this includes inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, community based services and Ayrshire wide specialist neuro-rehabilitation.
This exciting post will continue to develop our established community-based service, including the provision of specialist stroke rehabilitation to individuals in their own homes.
You will work closely with colleagues in health, social care, voluntary services, and the third sector to provide a genuinely person-centred service.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You require a dysphagia qualification and will be a highly skilled practitioner with extensive clinical experience working with an adult acquired caseload including in a community setting. You must be able to effectively manage their own time, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to show appropriate highly specialist level leadership and quality improvement skills.
