Salary: £60k - £70k + £5.4k car allowance and company package depending on skills and experience
Our client is a leading building services company with a long history of delivering MEP installations on high-profile construction projects, UK-wide. They are owned by a multi-energy company and are looking to take on building services engineers who they will upskill to work on major projects within the nuclear industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and implement temporary building services design solutions for the Hinkley ‘C’ Common Building Services.
2. Ensure the integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety, and sustainability of design and engineering to enable compliant defect-free handover for operational service, delivered to programme and budget.
3. Coordinate with the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor ensuring regular flow of information to comply with meeting the requirements of CDM.
4. Be part of the CBS mechanical design team to provide design solutions including but not limited to Ventilation, LTHW, CHW & CWS piped services, and wastewater drainage.
5. Collaborate and share relevant information between design services to ensure no elements of integration are left out of the final designs.
6. Create the following documentation: Specifications, Datasheets, Calculations, Schedules, Drawings.
7. Review and check vendor documents/information for electrical compliance with project specifications.
8. Support the Design Manager and contribute to design/construction reviews & sign off.
9. Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments. Communicate residual design risks to others.
10. Provide strong technical support and identify innovative and robust solutions.
11. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers.
Minimum Requirements:
Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers need 4 years + experience in building services engineering design – major projects experience is essential. Full training & education will be covered for your future development as a design engineer in the nuclear industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
