Salary range: Circa £18,000 per annum actual (£30,000 pro rata)
About Us:
Eurilait is the UK subsidiary of two prestigious French dairies, Laita and Eurial. Specializing in the import of high-quality cheese from our parent companies in France and additional suppliers across Europe, we are committed to delivering exceptional dairy products to the UK market. At our Evercreech facility, our cheese is expertly cut, packed, and distributed to a diverse range of customers, from major supermarkets to food service businesses and industrial clients. With consistent growth and expansion, we are now seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team.
Role Overview:
In this critical role, you’ll support Eurilait’s financial health by overseeing the credit and collections process, maintaining cash flow, and reducing financial risk through diligent account monitoring. This role involves working closely with a varied portfolio of clients, including leading UK retailers and food service providers. Working closely with the Sales and Finance teams will be essential to resolve payment issues and ensure overall client satisfaction, all while upholding our company’s credit policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage customer credit limits and actively monitor accounts to ensure timely payments.
2. Work collaboratively with colleagues across Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve invoice queries efficiently.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to support smooth payment processes.
4. Maintain accurate customer accounts through regular reconciliations, processing credits, and addressing discrepancies.
5. Partner with the Finance Business Partner to identify high-risk accounts, implement credit controls, and mitigate potential risks.
Key Attributes:
Proven experience in credit control or a similar role, along with a solid understanding of credit management and debt recovery, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to build and sustain rapport with clients. A meticulous approach to account management is critical, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both internal and regulatory standards. Proactive and solution-oriented, the successful candidate will demonstrate independence in resolving issues, preventing potential conflicts, and implementing effective credit solutions.
Why Join Us?
At Eurilait, we are passionate about dairy and committed to excellence in quality and service. Joining as a Credit Controller means becoming a key part of our growth story, working with leading UK clients, and supporting our business objectives. We offer a competitive salary, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and valuable opportunities for career advancement in our growing company.
