The Service & Team:
We are offering an opportunity to join our Health Visiting teams as a Family Health Worker.
We are integrated with our Early Help and Social Care colleagues and share an integrated electronic record which supports communication and co-ordination.
Working in Cornwall has the added advantage of having some beautiful rural areas and beaches which provide plenty of leisure opportunities to create a great work life balance. There are exciting opportunities to be part of partnership working groups and multi-disciplinary practice discussions to contribute, progress and lead innovative practice and enhance effective partnership working with education, GPs, Children’s Services, Public Health and other key agencies.
We currently have a variety of posts both full & part time across Cornwall in the following areas:
1. Locality 1 covering Hayle, St Ives and Penzance
2. Locality 3 covering Truro and Falmouth
3. Locality 5 covering Bodmin
We are very progressive in Cornwall in developing partnership working across Cornwall Council’s Children's services, to ensure we deliver the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme to improve the health and well-being within our community.
The Role:
Delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to provide evidence-based family centred public health services to achieve the service vision and meet the needs of communities, families, and children and young people.

What you’ll need to succeed:
We are looking for an innovative and motivated worker who has the following skills:
* BTECH/NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/Child Health or Degree in Early Years or above
* Evidence of working with children and young people within the community.
* Willingness to undertake further training as required
* Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to partnership working and supporting children and their families.
