Job Description – Multi Skilled Engineer - Four On - Four Off Shift 6am to 6pm

Daily Dose is the largest cold pressed juice manufacturer in the UK. We produce all our drinks in-house at our Corby factory, after beginning life in our founder's mum's kitchen! At Daily Dose, we produce the finest cold pressed juice made from wonky fruit and veg which would otherwise be thrown away. We focus on sustainability; working with local farmers, turning our organic waste into Biofuels, and only using bottles made from recycled materials.
What’s the opportunity?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing business at our chilled juice production facility currently dedicated to producing a range of fresh cold pressed juices for clients all across the UK.
This is a great opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to come on board at our Corby site. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment at the facility. The job holder will be a skilled engineer with experience in production conveyors, beverage producing equipment and also some facility tasks.
What will the job involve?
* Undertake a programme of Planned Preventative Maintenance and condition monitoring for key equipment & machinery across the manufacturing areas, to ensure that machinery & equipment is maintained correctly and operates safely and as efficiently as possible.
* Prioritise activities such as reactive maintenance, breaks etc. in order to provide a fast response to breakdowns within the manufacturing areas to ensure that equipment “availability” is kept to a maximum.
* Perform facility tasks i.e. doors, drains, fire alarm testing and other compliance tasks.
* Inform management of any damage suspected of being due to mistreated use of equipment or machinery.
* Ensure that any tools or equipment used for maintenance purposes abide by Health & Safety regulations and report to the Engineering Manager if this is not the case.
* Support with additional maintenance tasks across the UK sites as and when requested.
* Ensure accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences are dealt with in accordance with company standards.
* Monitor and Train Machine Operators to ensure continuous improvement.
* Update daily activity reports.
* Analyse system, lines and product performance.
* The role is full time on a 4 on 4 off days only pattern. Times being 0600 – 1800.
What skills, experience and traits do I need?
* Maintenance Engineer experience ideally gained within the fresh produce or beverage sector.
* Formal Electrical or Mechanical qualifications backed up with suitable training and experience ie NVQ level / 3 City and Guilds or food and drink industry engineering Apprenticeship.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
* Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
* Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
* Microsoft Office experience - Word, Excel.
* Proven experience in driving through continuous improvement activities.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* A keen eye for detail.
* Flexible approach to work.
* Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers and strapping machines.
* Working to British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards with regard to Hygiene and Cleanliness standards would be advantageous but not essential.
