Compliance Officer (23 month fixed term contract)
Start Date: 21 January 2025
Salary: £34,230 increasing to £38,034 by annual increments
Working Pattern: Full time, 35 hours per week – open to discussing flexible working patterns

About the Role
The Compliance Officer supports and assists the Legal and Governance Team and Legal and Governance Manager in ensuring that GTC Scotland policies, processes, and procedures comply with the law and that GTC Scotland complies with these policies, processes, and procedures in practice.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
* Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent qualification in law, compliance, or a related discipline (SCQF level 7) or equivalent attested vocational or work-based training in a relevant role
* Evidence of ongoing professional learning
* A proven track record of working in the compliance sector
* Evidenced experience of carrying out compliance reviews and providing written reports on the outcomes of these reviews
* Experience of involvement in advising on compliance-related matters
* An understanding of information governance compliance, such as Freedom of Information, Subject Access Requests, and Data Protection
* Evidenced experience in building and maintaining effective working partnerships with internal and external users and partners

Working Hours / Pattern
