An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled nurse to join our Older Adult Community Mental Health Team within NHS Fife, West Fife locality. You will be based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. We welcome interest from people that are highly motivated, proactive with strong communication skills and have experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment.
You will be required to confidently carry out initial mental health assessments, provide low intensity psychological therapies, formulate person-centred care plans and evaluate care and treatment provision for a complex range of older people referred to our service. You will have the ability to work independently but also as a key member of our multidisciplinary team. You will manage your own caseload and provide teaching, supervision and assessment for student nurses. As a charge nurse, you will assist with the supervision and development of any junior staff whilst supporting the band 7 with the overall running of the team. You will be required to deputise for the band 7 team leader during periods of leave. The registered candidate will be a 1st Level Mental Health Nurse preferably with older adult community mental health experience. The successful candidate will have the ability to travel across NHS Fife. Working pattern – The service operates within office hours Monday – Friday but applicants will be required to work one weekend every 8 weeks to support service delivery.
