Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.44 an hour; this increases to £13.57 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. We support flexibility for our colleagues, so if your availability closely matches our needs, we’d still love to hear from you.

Role Overview

Every day you’ll have the opportunity to assist customers with their medicines, provide vaccinations, review their medicine usage, and check blood pressure or test for blood glucose levels. Working alongside experienced Pharmacists and managers, you will receive local management and leadership support. Our management team comes from a variety of backgrounds, providing ample learning opportunities.

You will be responsible for
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be integral to the running of our Pharmacies. We are looking for a team player who can take on the following responsibilities:
* Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
* Applying your technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for our customers.
* Dispensing prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Engaging with customers confidently and professionally, providing excellent service.
* Offering information on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
* Understanding customer needs and explaining product benefits clearly.
* Advising customers on Pharmacy services available.
* Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Handling clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners.
* Responding to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
* Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
* Maintaining cleanliness and organization in dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Completing prescription administration accurately and on time.
* Implementing promotional activities and company initiatives.
* Carrying out all procedures accurately to protect profit and ensure safe and legal trading.
* Completing corporate and departmental training.
* Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
You will need
* Experience or qualifications from working in a Pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop in the Pharmacy field.
