Your role: This role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to take on this newly created position as a Place-based Development Officer. You will be working with a broad range of partners and sectors in the Ipswich locality, to support the implementation of the Sport England Place-based approach, developing and enhancing the Sport & Physical activity infrastructure, workforce and wider community health & wellbeing outcomes. In addition, you will specifically ensure effective collaborative partnership working, developing key relationships between partner organisations and the local community in a whole systems place based approach to support the Health & Wellbeing of local communities in the Ipswich locality. The role is funded by Sport England’s Place-based expansion investment and is in partnership with key local organisations – Ipswich Borough Council, Ipswich & East Suffolk Alliance, Suffolk County Council – Public Health & Communities, University of Suffolk and Active Suffolk.
