Grade 4 starting at £25,433 to £28,879 per annum, pro rata if part time. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.

About the Role
An experienced Payroll Coordinator is required as soon as possible to join a busy team. They will undertake a range of duties relating to the running of three computerised payrolls including: payroll administration, data input, answering personal queries and liaising with government agencies.
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will work closely with colleagues from the HR Business Services Team to support the Payroll Team to deliver the monthly payroll administrations including administration of contractual changes, loans, alterations to pay (CSA, CTAEO), statutory payments (SSP, SMP, ShPP, etc.).
You will be required to bring knowledge of Payroll processes, including PAYE, NIC, student loan calculations, loan adjustments, pension scheme adjustments.
You will collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues from across the Human Resources Division and the wider University.
About You
Applicants should be able to operate effectively within a team, possess a good level of numeracy and literacy as well as being familiar with a computer-based environment. The person appointed should be able to handle high volumes of work accurately, possess good communication skills, and be able to organise and prioritise work to meet strict deadlines. A knowledge of tax and NI requirements is essential and a knowledge of auto enrolment requirements is desirable.
You will be flexible, with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to changes in procedure. You will be qualified to Level 3 in Payroll, or have demonstrable equivalent experience, and will hold at least a Level 2 (GCSE/O-Level) in mathematics.
You will communicate clearly with the team, line management, and stakeholders.
