This is a 12 month fixed term position to cover maternity leave for 22.5 hours per week.
We require a Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse with a passion for putting patients at the heart of their care to empower them to work with us in their patient journey. The successful applicant must have experience and a strong interest in managing complex wounds and pressure ulcer prevention. You must be keen to learn and develop your assessment and treatment skills and knowledge.
We are looking for applicants with excellent communication skills which are vital to building good relationships with the patients and staff that we support. We are a service that counts compassion towards both our patients and colleagues as a key priority. Being a team player who can work as part of a Multidisciplinary team is also essential to the role as we often operate autonomously in the Acute, Community and Clinic setting.
A key element to the role is the provision of education and training staff at all levels and so an interest in teaching is essential to this position. The post holder will support the team with the review of pressure ulcer reporting and the development of Trust-wide action planning to work to support clinical areas to deliver safe and effective care.
