We are currently looking for candidates to join their teams on a full-time, temporary basis. Your new role We are looking for social housing professionals to join the teams of these local authorities for a number of different positions. As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a responsive and customer-focused service to those affiliated with the local authority. You will act as a Visiting Officer dealing with tenancy issues and low level matters of ASB, you will also ensure all Housing Schemes are administered appropriately and within legislative requirements. Providing expert advice in regard to the housing registration process to a range of stakeholders. Conducting investigations and ensuring decisions are made in compliance with relevant service policies and legislation, including helping to ensure nomination agreements are being administrated in full accordance with the terms agreed. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in these roles, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, a background in Social Housing – this could be a housing officer, neighbourhood officer, homelessness officer etc. You will need knowledge of Legislation and Part 6 and 7 of the Housing Act. These roles will be an ASAP start,. Before starting, you will need to pass your reference and compliance checks. On registration please have your 2 most recent employment details available for reference checks. What you'll get in return These roles are full-time, temporary roles based in Birmingham. Usually it is a 3-month ongoing contract with a high likelihood of long-term extensions. This position in particular offers a pay rate of £13.20 per hour holiday allowance which takes the overall hourly accrual to £14.79 per hour.
