Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Role & Responsibilities:
* Successfully lead, engage and manage the operational and maintenance site teams in line with the client requirements, overall responsibility for leadership and delivery of safe, effective running of the plants.
* Ensure all SHEQ, legislative and business requirements are met, maintained and improved.
* Build maintain and manage effective and timely client relationships balancing and delivering requirements to ensure safe, efficient asset running and excellent & adaptable customer/client service.
* Develop, lead, communicate and deliver the business plan, overall philosophy, procedures and systems.
* Consistently achieve required performance measures and statutory and management reporting.
* Ensure effective communication, understanding and monitoring by all employees.
* Effectively plan, justify, control and optimise budgets, financial considerations and contracts.
* Actively support and seek opportunities to support groeth and development of the business, working with new ventures, existing clients and local business infrastructures, to maximise opportunities.
* Develop, maintain and actively work with authorities (HSE, EA, Local Councils, Police & Fire Services Partners and local community representatives) to demonstrate company commitment to, and compliance with regulations.
* Actively work with the Manager od Site Operations to identify, develop and implement CAPEX projects designed to improve site safety or efficiencies.
* Oversee, orchestrate and be responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of outages and critical maintenance intervals of both plants.
* Provide out of hours and emergency call out support
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline.
* Experience in the energy industry or other related major hazard industries.
* Experience in management of energy related assets.
* Strategic thinking
* Ability to manage the complexities and challenges associated with managing and motivating staff.
* Management experience of a team/site including coaching, managing performance and absence.
* Be comfortable attending a power plant, at a site of on going work and control the situation for a better outcome.
