Due to an internal promotion, Salop Leisure Ltd, one of the country’s leading holiday home, touring caravan and motorhome distributors, are looking to appoint an accounts assistant/cashier at its head office in Shrewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with cash handling experience or someone wanting to expand their accounting experience.
The role will primarily involve the daily banking of takings, inputting onto the accounts software, bank reconciliations, controlling petty cash, and taking customer payments either in person or via telephone. The role will also include processing and raising invoices, making and receiving payments, as well as other general office administration.
The successful candidate would ideally possess:
* Experience of cash handling and accounting tasks
* Strong numeracy and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
* High level of attention to detail with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
Hours of Work: 8:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Additional hours/days may be required, including weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
