Senior FP&A Analyst / FP&A Manager – Europe, Middle East and Africa
Division/Department: Regional Finance (Europe, Middle East and Africa) based in London
Reports to: Senior FP&A Manager - EMEA
Type of position: Full-time, Permanent
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Senior FP&A Analyst to join our EMEA Finance Team and become a strong partner to the business. This is an excellent opportunity to work as a key member of this highly visible international Finance team, in a growing and diversifying organisation.
Candidates should be well organised with an ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. They should have experience in dealing with complex issues in a matrixed business and understand the importance of building relationships with clients (internal and external). Above all, we are looking for a good team player who is able to contribute to the success of the team with the benefit of their international, analytical and commercial experience.
1. Assist in all aspects of financial planning, forecasting and analytics, such as monthly rolling forecast and annual operating plans in support of EMEA’s business units
2. Production and distribution of various standard and non-standard reports in a timely manner, including for the benefit of the EMEA President and Marquee & Regional Account Leaders
3. Liaise closely with operations and implementation teams to provide commercial analysis on new and existing contracts ensuring revenues and resource costs are aligned as well as on-going profitability reviews
4. Maintaining a strong bridge of communication across all areas of finance and business teams
5. Analyse variances from planned or forecasted results and provide comments and recommendations
6. Assist in the development and standardisation of key insightful financial/management dashboards
7. Prepare insightful analysis in a summarised format to aid key decision-making
8. Develop insights to non-Finance Senior leadership derived from financial and operational analytics
The Team:
1. Reports to Senior FP&A Manager - EMEA
2. Four other FP&A team members (two in London, one in Frankfurt and one in Dubai)
3. Work closely with EMEA Finance team and the Corporate FP&A function in Los Angeles
Experience:
1. Deep financial planning, forecasting, data mining, and modelling expertise
2. Wider finance function experience essential (i.e. financial close, management reporting, consolidation, etc.)
3. Strong business partnering experience including contract reviews, KPI analysis and discussing key areas of development with business leaders
4. Communicating with and presenting to various stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
5. Handling and synthesising large volumes of data
6. Working knowledge of SAP or other large enterprise-wide accounting systems
7. Exposure to US GAAP would be highly advantageous
8. Working in a multi-national, multi-currency environment
9. Experience of working in the Professional Services sector
10. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prepare robust financial analysis
11. Excellent interpersonal / communication and presentation skills
12. Committed, task orientated approach with a keen ability to meet strict deadlines
13. Advanced Excel (i.e. macros, VBA, etc.), PowerPoint, and Word skills
14. Ability to work independently and within a team environment
15. Comfortable working in a changing environment with high degree of ambiguity
16. Content with both routine tasks and ad hoc projects / requests
17. Bright, numerate, proactive, confident and enthusiastic
18. Fluent in English and a second European language would be beneficial
Qualifications:
1. Solid academic track record
2. University Degree (2:1 or higher)
3. CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with +5 years PQE or comparable accounting qualification
