University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust (UHBW) is seeking to appoint a Post-CCT Clinical fellow in Medical Dermatology.
The post holder will undertake specialist clinics and will have responsibly for providing a medical dermatology service in conjunction with consultant colleagues of a team of 13 Consultants and an Associate Specialist.
This is a one year post 1.0 WTE covering 10 PA's based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary covering 5 days per week Monday to Friday. There will an in hours on-call commitments of approximately 1 in 10
The post holder will be working at level of a newly qualified consultant with competence to deal with general medical dermatology in an unsupervised capacity, but with provision of supervision for tertiary referral level specialist work.
The main responsibility is to provide clinical advice and treatment within the speciality, under the leadership of senior colleagues and at times may require the post holder to collaborate with colleagues from other specialities within the Division of Medicine and wider Trust.
The post will include will include: out-patient clinics and on call, including review of acute ward referrals; supervision of trainees on call and in clinic, supervision of members of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team, attendance at relevant multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings and a regular biopsy list.
Out-patient clinics will include specialist biologics clinics in psoriasis, severe eczema and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) as well as the opportunity for severe urticaria, connective tissue disease, immunobullous and oral medicine clinics. The post-holder will also gain experience in the management of cutaneous lymphoma patients and patients with Graft versus Host Disease (GVHD),
