Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
* Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of BESS projects.
* Develop detailed project plans, including time-lines, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Technical Oversight:
* Coordinate the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of BESS.
* Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical specifications meet project requirements.
* Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local authorities.
* Facilitate clear and effective communication between all project stakeholders.
* Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
Financial Management:
* Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost control measures are in place.
* Prepare regular financial and progress reports for senior management.
* Handle procurement activities, including contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
Regulatory Compliance:
* Ensure all projects comply with relevant local,, and international regulations.
* Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Keep up-to-date with Welsh energy policies and ensure project alignment with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy sector, preferably with a focus on BESS or renewable energy projects.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Skills:
* Strong understanding of BESS technology and renewable energy systems.
* Excellent project management skills, including risk management, scheduling, and budget control.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Other Requirements:
* Willingness to travel across project sites in Wales as needed.
* Valid UK driving license.
