Brook Street are working on behalf of our client in Belfast city centre to recruit a full time Legal Assistant.
This role is with a leading legal firm that provides a range of services to business and private sector associates.
Role will consist of supporting our team with administrative duties such as preparing legal documents and other correspondence and reports, arranging medico-legal appointments, communicating with clients and managing / organising case files.
General Duties:
1. Liaising with clients/insurers/solicitors
2. General secretarial support with focus on litigation
3. Accurate recording on Case Management system
4. Handling of relevant documents
5. Photocopying, editing, forwarding etc.
6. Answering phone calls from clients and potential clients, advising them accordingly
7. Arranging appointments for colleagues
8. Attending to files, ensuring all are kept in an efficient and tidy manner
Criteria:
1. Experience as a legal secretary
2. Strong IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
3. Quick, accurate Audio typing
4. Strong communication (both verbal and written) & negotiation skills with the ability to influence
5. Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail / accuracy
6. Good time management
Salary will depend on background - can be discussed on application.
