As a Lead Fullstack Engineer at Kiln, you will join our Software Development Team, composed of 15 engineers split into 4 squads, to build the future of our SaaS/API-first products https://docs.kiln.fi/v1/. You will report to our Lead Software Engineer and collaborate with the Product, Infrastructure, and Smart-Contract teams to work on the various products that Kiln offers.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
* Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products (Dashboard, dApp, Widget).
* Design, develop and implement new features:
o 70% frontend (e.g. using our design system to build new features or adding new components to it…).
o 30% backend (e.g. implement the transaction crafting part for a new protocol…).
* Participate in code review, test and CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance.
* Interact with customers for debugging purposes and product discovery.
* Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company).
* Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kilns platform and engineering practices.
* Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges.
Stack: TypeScript, React, PHP, Laravel, REST API
Other engineering stacks: Software (Golang); Smart contract (Solidity); Infrastructure (Kubernetes)
Requirements:
* +6 years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend, Frontend, or Fullstack), designing, building, and deploying user-facing and API-based products.
* +2 years managing a full-stack team (at least 3 developers)
* Proven TypeScript and Vue or React programming skills— professional experience in a production environment.
* PHP/Laravel programming skills.
* Familiar with software development best practices (Test, CI/CD, DevOps, Security…).
* Previous experience collaborating in a team-based development environment is required (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving sessions).
* Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
* Ability to balance between impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment.

* Fluent in both French and English.
Nice-to-have:
* Familiar with blockchain ecosystem, Ethereum Virtual Machine, and smart contracts.
