Family Support Worker
Knowsley
11/11/2024 – 9 months initially
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 36 hrs/week
Direcct work with children and families with the aim to achieve positive outcomes
Plan and record interventions effectively, to support and contribute to the overall assessment held by referring social care teams
Offer support and evidence-based intervention around child development
Supporting with contact supervision
Transport children and families as appropriate
Contribute to risk assessments and protecting children and young people from danger, harm, and abuse
Raise any concerns you may have immediately
Work with families around behaviour management strategies and routines and boundaries
Work in partnership with families on protection plans in their own home, where appropriate
Support in referring families to support services available
Communicate and work with a range of professionals and agencies to ensure all needs are met Requirements
UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
Relevant qualification e.g. NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies
Experience of working with children and families support services
Experience of supporting families in using services within the community
Ability to implement interventions and strategies to prevent family breakdown
Ability to contribute to the protection of children and young people, by identifying and acting upon risk of danger, harm, and abuse
