We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to become a part of the West Sussex Breast Centre mammography team at Worthing Hospital.
As a Mammographer, you will play a crucial role in the West Sussex Breast Imaging Service. Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality mammographic imaging and exceptional client care at the West Sussex Breast Care Centre in Worthing and St Richards Hospitals, as well as at various mobile sites. This position adheres to the standards and guidelines set by the NHSBSP. The role involves working autonomously and performing the full range of additional specialised mammographic techniques during assessment and symptomatic clinics, including the imaging of breast specimens, tomosynthesis, assisting with stereotactic procedures and localisations.

Main duties of the job
1. Mammographic Imaging: Conduct precise and high-quality mammographic imaging as part of the West Sussex Breast Screening Programme.
2. Client Care: Provide compassionate and professional care to all clients, ensuring their comfort and addressing their concerns.
3. Mobile Unit Support: Travel to and provide services at various mobile screening sites.
4. Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver top-tier patient care for symptomatic patients at Worthing and St. Richard's Hospitals.

Job responsibilities
5. Provide an exceptionally high level of expertise in the specialist clinical field of breast imaging in a screening and symptomatic environment.
6. Work as part of the mammographic multi-disciplinary team, performing radiographic imaging of the breast and providing a professional service of the highest quality in line with the standards and guidelines set out by the NHSBSP for screening clients and symptomatic patients of WSHT across the mobile and static units.
7. Work autonomously and perform the full range of additional specialised mammographic techniques during assessment clinics, including the imaging of breast specimens, tomosynthesis, stereotactic procedures and localisations.
8. Provide mentorship, supervision and training to trainee mammographers and assistant practitioners within the service.

9. DCR / BSc (Hons) in Radiography
10. UK Postgraduate award at masters level in Mammography (theory and practice)

11. Two years professional experience post-qualification
