Introduction

You will manage the commitments of the Hospital Director, ensuring key tasks and priorities are effectively managed and completed such as managing their diary, preparing presentations, organising meetings, visits and venues, and taking minutes.
You will also be responsible for all administration for Governance and Senior Management Team meetings and the administration of all complaints and feedback within the service. This doesn’t mean you will have the workload of two people, but rather that you’ll put on different hats as you support the wider service.

Occasional travel may be required.
As a Personal Assistant you will be:
1. Effective in co-ordinating diaries, scheduling and administration for regular management meetings including notetaking and action trackers.
2. Ensuring effective administration of all complaints, compliments and feedback within the service.
3. Organising travel and accommodation arrangements.
4. Producing presentations.
5. Processing expenses, invoices and credit card reconciliation.
6. General administrative tasks – post, filing, dealing with telephone enquiries.
7. Providing holiday and absence cover for other PAs/EAs as and when required.
8. Undertaking any other tasks that are reasonable and align to your level of responsibility.
To be successful in this role, you will:
1. Have significant administration experience at executive and senior management level (Board experience would be an advantage).
2. Be highly organised with a friendly and professional approach.
3. Be able to anticipate and fulfil requests.
4. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt writing style according to audience.
5. Work positively and flexibly across a range of tasks simultaneously.
6. Be computer literate.
7. Have excellent diary and time management skills.
8. Be fine to work independently.
9. Have a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
10. Enjoy supporting others, with a caring nature and resilience.
Where you will be working:
Location: Barnet Lane, Elstree, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 3QU
You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Barnet Lane Clinic, which is a 30-bed rehabilitation service for people with a mental illness including those diagnosed with a personality disorder. You will work with individuals who may have had placement breakdowns and need intensive review and support to help them move to more independent living, with a focus on supporting people to build a better quality of life for themselves and equip them with the skills needed for community living, supportive relationships, and increased independence.
