Clifton Primary School located in Penrith, are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their school in September As a teaching assistant apprentice you will work across all year groups within the school. You will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher, prepare resources and work with small groups or individuals. Key Responsibilities: Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities to pupils responses Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress and behaviour in order to contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities Provide feedback to pupils in relation to attainment and progress under the guidance of the teacher Support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities Support pupils' social, emotional and physical wellbeing Be aware of and comply with all school policies and procedures including code of conduct, child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection Encourage independent learning and promote inclusion of all pupils in and outside of the classroom Select, prepare and clear away classroom materials and learning areas ensuring they re available for use, including developing and presenting displays Skill & Personal Qualities: Be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed team member and fully prepared to become involved in the wider life of the school Be able to attend some staff meetings and training sessions Be able to form successful relationships with children, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
