Cumbria Family Law Ltd are looking for a business administrator to join their team Within this role you will be working in a busy Family Law Solicitor’s firm providing reception and administrative support so that colleagues are assisted to deliver services to the public The firm represent clients for a full range of family law issues including divorce, finances on divorce and separation, non-molestation and occupation order proceedings, child arrangements, care proceedings, public law outline proceedings. Key tasks Learn to undertake administrative tasks, such as photocopying, processing mail, maintaining electronic filing systems, and updating information. Use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel. Answering the telephone and liaise with staff, clients and other agencies to assist in the delivery of services. To liaise with clients and professionals in a confident, sympathetic and appropriate manner. To learn to produce correspondence from oral dictation from Fee Earners for approval and sending. To learn to accurately input data into computerised systems, databases and spreadsheets and process and retrieve data as necessary. To liaise with staff, clients, and other agencies, to share information where appropriate, ensuring that procedures are properly followed. To administer petty cash, etc, within departmental standards. To administer financial processes, including collection of funds from client’s electronically and in cash, processing invoices, and liaising with accounts department and colleagues regarding the same. To order and maintain stocks of relevant stationery for the office. To provide support to individual colleagues as required, including diary management, and administrative support. To take initial information from new enquiries from prospective client’s ascertain funding options (whether privately funded or eligible for legal aid), and booking appointments. To answer and resolve an issue for staff, customers or other a gencies. To provide a compassionate service to clients who may be upset, angry or struggling with their mental health. To manage professional development and prioritisation of workload to include training time required to achieve relevant apprenticeship qualification.
